Last weekend saw the Mountain Festival arrive in Keswick and the Kestrel Lodge gang couldn't wait to get stuck in!
Mosedale is so much fun because there are a variety of different things.
When its hot its good to take a dip and there are lots of places in the Lakes to do this. The many tarns and lakes, provide a great place to cool off but if you fancy something a bit different there are a lot of hidden spots (and not so hidden) in rivers that offer great water adventures...for all the family.
Keswick Festival of Lights, for the last few years we have looked lovingly across the lake wishing we could be part of the Festival of light. As its May Day bank holiday weekend we’ve just never seemed to be able to get away to take part this year however we are determined that some of the family will get to take part.
Last weekend we were invited to go and see the folks and animals at the South Lakes Safari Zoo.
One week to go before opening and it’s all systems go...
Last October, we decided to use Kestrel Lodge campsite as our wedding venue—after all we love the view and we love our home, so where better than to celebrate our wedding with family and friends.
Winter is always a chance for me to get into the mountains as much as possible, I’m tackling the Wainwrights and my total for 2017 now stands at 113, so just 101 to go.
