These Keswick options are just some of our personal favourites – all of which are dog friendly simply because we like to take Jazz and Merlin out with us whenever possible, but they also serve good food with a great atmosphere.
Just six miles from Kestrel Lodge, Cockermouth offers a great array of cafes, restaurants, pubs, and take away places for you to choose from. Here are a few that we can recommend if you want a night off from the campstove.
A derelict old barn on the edge of the River Derwent has become the site of one of Lakelands loveliest Bistro’s and new makers of an old Lakeland tradition…moonshine. Well, it’s proper stuff now, and they’ll tell you all about it and the history in the area on the tour.
