Exciting news—Planning Permission has been APPROVED, so now we can tell you all about our plans...
The Lake District National Parks Planning Authority has given us permission to take 2 small campervans year-round; meaning we can now accommodate 2 campervans at any one time on site—all year! So as long as you have a small van (VW or converted type van) and we have space you can now visit Kestrel Lodge and toast your marshmallows around the old campfire.
AND... We have also been given permission to have pods. Just 3, and we don’t yet know when we’ll have them on site, but watch this space. So, if you’ve any non-camping friends or relatives who want to come and stay with you...now they can—or rather, soon they can—as the pods will all have their own fire pit and course that little bit of luxury known these days as Glamping!
Kestrel Lodge, Bassenthwaite, will remain small, quiet and friendly but with a couple of added extras and new ways to visit our lovely little spot in the lakes; an ideal base for walking the Northern Fells, including Skiddaw, and enjoying the quieter side of the Lakes.
